Daniel Seavey is embracing a new chapter in his music career, with Benson Boone playing an important role in helping him rediscover his passion for performing.
During an interview backstage at the 2026 TMElive International Music Awards in Hong Kong, the former Why Don’t We member reflected on the challenges he faced following the group’s hiatus and legal disputes.
Seavey explained that touring with Benson Boone in 2024 helped restore his excitement for music. Boone’s enthusiasm, positive energy, and love for performing reminded him of the reasons he first pursued a career in entertainment.
The singer also shared an unexpected dream collaboration: Pitbull. Seavey praised the rapper’s entertaining personality and energetic performances, joking that he would even wear a bald cap to join him onstage.
The conversation took place during Seavey’s first visit to Hong Kong, where he performed his single Love’s a Gun at Kai Tak Stadium.
For Seavey, the experience highlighted a renewed connection with music as he continues building his career as a solo artist.
